The service is friendly, the interior is cozy, but the kitchen has to go a step further for the high prices, otherwise it won't be worth repeating. The exhaust air in the kitchen should urgently be improved so that the guest's clothing is not smoked with kitchen odors. Very uncomfortable. Therefore only 2 stars so far, there is still a lot of space upstairs for quality and kitchen ventilation.
We spent an all-round successful evening in the old inn. The atmosphere in the quaint building was the perfect mix of traditional and modern. The service was also convincing across the board with its informal, professional nature. In addition, there is a fine selection of food and drinks that leave nothing to be desired. An asset to the island, we'll be back.

A very special place with excellent food and attentive service
Spent two evenings here recently. While there is always the risk of getting disappointed when you visit somewhere twice, this clearly wasn‘t the case here. Expectations were exceeded twice with spectacular food in a nice summer atmosphere.
Lobster - I've never eaten anything else there - just great. Each time I make a mental note to pick an alternative, but then I hear myself say "lobster". The service is now top - I'm looking forward to the next time.
I'm rather calmer when it comes to public reviews, I like to do something unusual here ... In COVID times a wonderful evening with a wonderful menu. The lobster menu is a dream that ends with a sensational dessert variation ? Plus nice and very friendly service, we'd love to come back. Small impressions about the pictures!
The restaurant should "already be fully booked" after 2 minutes of opening time and that at 5:02 p.m. ... If you don’t dress for summer, otherwise it will not be accepted, not even for outside. Very sad...

Ambitious restaurant with recognized delicious dishes. We particularly liked the lobster. Knowledgeable staff in wine selection and generally perfect service. Thank you for the great evening. You should open a depandance in Nuremberg. :)
We spent a wonderful evening here today. Friendly, competent staff. The food, each one an experience! Unfortunately there is no repetition for us this year, but: We will be back!
We stayed in the old inn yesterday evening. A friendly almost warm welcome when entering the inn the prelude. We were accompanied personally to our table. This personal touch should help shape the whole evening in a pleasant way. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness of the young team. Subtleties were kept and, if necessary, picked up again later. Creative suggestions e.g. with the wine accompaniment, underline the demonstrable competence of the young team. On the whole, I was given the feeling that young restaurateurs want to realize their own gastronomic note in a stylish, competent manner, highly motivated. It is important to appreciate that! The ambience supports the team; Stylish, elegant and at the same time integrated into the environment. The restaurant makes a clean, well-kept impression. Tables were thoroughly disinfected immediately after leaving in accordance with the hygiene regulations. Food and drinks reflect the above. Creative, high quality and attractively arranged. The old inn is worth a trip to List! We wish the team every success in implementing their ideas. Markus Lenders
Very nice modern atmosphere in an old inn. The service was absolutely first class and the dishes were excellently prepared. The price of the food is absolutely justified. We have eaten in many good restaurants (Hensler / Hamburg, Tim Mälzer / Hamburg he was also a guest that evening or Glöggler / Schopfheim ...) These restaurants are all very good restaurants but the old inn was absolutely class inclusive very personal and unobtrusive service. If someone comes to Sylt, I can only recommend the old inn.
For the visit of this institution we had decided after careful evaluation of its evaluations in the Internet. The have the peculiarity that they are not only overwhelmingly overwhelmingly positive, but apparently in turn for their part again evaluated by the operator. What we really want to experience on our own. So. We were absolutely thrilled. Atmosphere, service and menu animate for further visits to future holidays on Sylt. We did not want to afford one of the various variants of Heligoland lobster from Canada. After all, we tested Bouillabaisse and cod. After a wild herb salad as an appetizer and in front of a giant bowl of red berries behind. There was nothing to complain about. And also at all other tables, it was Thursday around 18 o'clock, and the institute was fully booked, we made only satisfied looks. So, and so that our criticism can be really torn, we conclude naggingly with the remark that in the bouillabaisse we would rather have seen large pieces of fish and lobster than small cubes of it. This suggestion but as I said only to give the responsible times properly ammunition for the evaluation of our review. (Thicker host)

Very nice restaurant with excellent food and a large selection of drinks (aperitif, wine, digestif). Guests with dogs are also welcome. The dishes are very tasty. The only point of criticism tonight is that the service staff seemed a bit disorganized and one member was rather unfriendly to the guests.
This is a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner.
Their lobster is divine! Freshly prepared, cooked in sea water, that has the perfect salt content, served with melted butter ? Their Creme Brulee is the best I have eaten in years! All this served with a smile, the friendliness of the owners David and Krista and the melodious guitar of Pablo Carcamo!
A melhor comida da Ilha, o melhor vinho, o melhor atendimento com a melhor musica jazz tocada no piano. Recomendo a Terrine de Peixes fresco (Bouillabaise). Local Familiar de alto requinte e tradição. A 8 anos frequento este local sempre que estou na ilha. The best food on the island, the best wine, the best service with the best jazz music played on the piano. I recommend Terrine of fresh fish ( Bouillabaise ) . Family place of high refinement and tradition. Since 8 years I visit this place , for me the best place to be in the whole island. For me is like a must.
